Meet Your Teacher
I am originally from Richlands, North Carolina. For those of you who have no idea where that is, it is in Onslow County, near Camp Lejeune. I have lived half of my life in NC and the other part in Oregon. I absolutely love football, basketball, and soccer as well as any channel on TV that starts with ESPN. Go Pirates! Go Tarheels! Go Ducks! I really enjoy reading, hence why I teach Language Arts. A long time ago a very wise person told me that we'd never have enough money to go on fancy trips or own very nice things, but I could have it all in a book... and I did, and still do. My favorite genre to read is probably fantasy or realistic fiction, although I love anything that has to do with major events in history. On a final note, I think my biggest inspiration is simply to learn. I have always enjoyed learning as much as I could, and that certainly follows me into my profession. I look forward to teaching each and everyone of my students and helping to inspire them into finding that one thing they are interested in learning about. Take care!
Zero
This is my dog Zero. He is a 2 year old Tri-Color Beagle. He likes sleeping and eating which makes him the perfect pet for a teacher who can't be home with him as much as he probably needs. :(
East Carolina University
I am a Teaching Fellow graduate from the Middle Grades Department at East Carolina University in 2007. I am a big pirate football fan and try to make every home game. I was very active in my scholarship program including heading up the social committee, organizing fundraisers and correlating all social events.
Bustin' a sag...
This picture was taken at the "what not to wear" fashion show from June 2008. Teachers got to dress like our students do, and the students had to dress according to the official Pitt County dress code for the 08-09 school year. The title of the picture is appropriately labeled "bustin' a sag."
